Deleting your account

You can delete your Wildgrims account yourself, with all its characters — in the Android app or here on the website. In both it is the same place: the list of your characters.

How

Log in to the game: in the app, or with “Play” on this website.
If one of your characters is in the world: Menu → Change character. It leaves the world in a minute.
Under your characters press “Delete the account”, type your password and confirm.

Forgot your password? On the login page: “Forgot password?” (a link by e-mail) or the recovery key — then delete the account as above. One character only? A character can be deleted on the same list.

No way to log in at all — no password, no access to the e-mail, no recovery key? Then nothing can show that the account is yours, and it can't be deleted at anyone's word. Write to the server's administrators from a new account (the bug button in the game) if you need help.

When

The account and all its characters are deleted 7 days after you ask. You get an e-mail when you ask, and another if you call it off.
Until then you can call it off on the same list: “Cancel the account's deletion”. Meanwhile none of its characters can be played.
After the 7 days the account no longer logs in and can't be used in any way. The server removes its data for good the next time it starts (at an update or a restart) — until then it is kept as it was, unused. Nothing can be brought back after that.
The server's backups (copies of the whole database, made every few hours) keep the account until newer copies replace them, a few days later. A backup is only ever restored to repair the server.
An administrator's or a moderator's account can't be deleted here, nor one whose character leads a clan (hand the leadership over first).

What is deleted

Your e-mail address, your password's hash and your recovery key's hash.
Your logins (with the IP addresses and browsers they came from) and one-time links.
Your account's settings, the uses of premium codes, when you accepted the game's rules and the players you blocked.
All your characters and everything they have and did: bags, deposit boxes, buildings, land, skills, achievements, premium days, friends, market offers, places in clans.

What stays

Chat messages already sent stay on the server for moderation — without the link to your character.
The server's security log keeps its entries (logins, the deletion itself) under the characters' names, for the server's safety — without your e-mail and without your IP addresses.
Bug reports you sent stay with the administrators (your words, the picture, the character's name) — without the link to your account.
The visit statistics: visits made while you were logged in lose the link to your account and stay as counts (single visits are deleted after 180 days anyway).
Reports about other players you sent stay with the administrators, like bug reports — without the link to your account. So do reports other players sent about your characters, with the messages they carry.
