The game's rules
Wildgrims is one world shared by real people. Fighting, raiding and outwitting other characters is part of the game; what passes between the people behind them must stay decent. Everyone accepts these rules when they make an account — and players from before they came in, once, before they play again.
Treat people decently
In every chat (local, global, party, clan), in whispers and in everything others can read — character, clan and settlement names, signs:
- No insults, threats or harassment, and no hatred of anyone for who they are: their origin, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or anything like it.
- No sexual content, and nothing sexual towards anyone.
- No one's personal details — your own or anyone else's: real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, accounts elsewhere.
- No spam, advertising, links to scams, or pretending to be the game's staff.
- No encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others, and nothing illegal.
Play fair
- No cheats, bots, modified game files or programs that play for you.
- A bug that gives an advantage is reported (the bug button in the game), not used.
- Don't try to get into someone else's account, and never give your password or recovery key to anyone — the staff will never ask for them.
- Don't sell or buy accounts.
What belongs to the game
Attacking and killing characters outside the safe cities, raiding bases, taking what lies unlocked, ambushes, out-trading someone at the market and rivalry between clans are all part of the game and break no rule. A rule is broken by what is done to the person, not to the character.
Blocking and reporting a player
- Block: right-click the player in the world (on a phone or a tablet: hold a finger on them) and choose “Block”. None of their words reach you any more — no chat, no whispers — and no invitations to a party, a clan, a trade or friendship. It works for all the characters on their account. Unblock in Settings → Blocked players.
- Report: in the same menu of the player choose “Report”, or Menu → “Report a player” (by name). Say what happened. The report goes to the game's administrators together with the player's recent messages, which the server keeps for this.
- Their own words in whispers to others are never sent with a report — only what they said in public, to their party or clan, and to you.
What the administrators do
- They read every report and look at the messages and what happened.
- Depending on what was done they can mute the player, remove them from the world, or ban the account for a time or for good — and take down a sign that breaks the rules.
- A player who sent a report sees what became of it in the bug window, under “Your reports”.
These rules apply to Wildgrims 0.36.0.
